My Point of View
I was standing on the street
I had my shoes on my feet
My hat fit me just right but
My jeans were a little too tight
The sun was shining on my face
It was warm and I could taste
The cool air that I breathed
Inside of me
If you could only see what I see
You would see what I want to be
I could show the world to you and
It would be from my point of view
I may not work seven to five
But you’ve got to realize
This is my life, it’s what I do
Just like a plumber or a carpenter too
But I don’t fix the sink or the backyard fence
I fix things that don’t make much sense
But this is what I do and
I do it from my point of view
If you could only see what I see
You would see what I want to be
I could show the world to you
And it would be from my point of view
